What this site does
getmealatte.com is an unofficial shortcut. The button sends you to Uber Eats, which finds the nearest Starbucks and handles your address, order and payment. We don’t sell anything, take payments or place orders. This is an independent site: it isn’t run, endorsed or sponsored by Starbucks or Uber. Both names are trademarks of their owners and are used here only to say where your order comes from.
Referral links
None at the moment. Every button and QR code sends you to Uber Eats with a plain link, and nobody pays us for it. If that changes, this section will name the countries and the referral network, and the button itself will say so.
Privacy
Short version: no accounts, no ads, this site sets no cookies, and it loads no third-party analytics or trackers. We never see your address, your order or your card. Below is everything that happens with data on this site, why, and for how long.
Who is responsible
- The controller for this site, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG), is Remco Livain, Feldstrasse 12, 8853 Lachen SZ, Switzerland. For anything about your data, write to hello@getmealatte.com.
Our host and its access logs
- What: the site runs on servers of ALL-INKL.COM in Germany. Like any web server, it records a standard access log line for every request: IP address, date and time, the page or file requested (including anything in the link, such as
?s=qror the size and milk the iPhone shortcut sends), the page you came from and your browser type. - Why: to keep the site secure and running, for example to spot attacks and errors. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- How long: the logs are kept by our host ALL-INKL for a limited period (typically 7 days) for security, then deleted. We don’t analyse them for marketing and don’t combine them with anything else.
Our own anonymous counter
- What: each time you tap the button, your browser sends one tick to
/api/pour.phpon this site: the day, the country, the size, the milk and a source tag that says where the tap came from (website, QR code, printed sticker, TRMNL screen or iPhone shortcut). - We only add it to a running total per day and combination. We don’t store your IP address, a cookie or any ID with it, so a tick can’t be traced back to you. The totals contain nothing about you, so we keep them. Like every request, the tick itself also shows up in the host’s access log described above.
- Why: to see whether the button gets used, in which countries, and which ways in (website, codes, stickers, TRMNL, Siri) are worth keeping. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
What your browser keeps on your device
- The page uses your browser’s storage, not cookies. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
gmal_cc(session storage): the country you picked, for this tab only. It is deleted when you close the tab.gmal_usual(local storage): the size and milk selected on the page, so it shows your usual next time.gmal_artandgmal_swan(local storage): only written when you unlock the swan in Free Pour, so the cup at the top of the page shows it from then on.- Why: each one only makes a feature you use work: your country, your usual, your swan. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in giving you those features (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
How the page finds your country
- The page works out your country inside your browser: from a link that names one, from your earlier pick in this tab, or from your device’s time zone. If none of those helps, it asks our own domain which country the connection comes from (this only answers when the site runs behind Cloudflare) and then falls back to your browser’s language. Nothing from this is stored, apart from a country you pick yourself (see
gmal_ccabove).
No third parties on this page
- No third-party analytics, trackers, ads, social buttons or embedded content. The fonts are served from our own server, so while you’re on this site your browser doesn’t contact any outside service. Where a referral link is active (see Referral links), tapping the button passes through the referral network on your way to Uber Eats.
Uber Eats
- When you tap the button, you leave this site. From then on Uber Eats handles everything (address, order, payment) under Uber’s privacy notice. We never see your address, your order or your card.
iPhone shortcut
- The “Add the shortcut” link opens Apple’s iCloud, which handles the download under Apple’s privacy policy.
- The shortcut keeps its own copy of your usual in a text file in your iCloud Drive (folder Shortcuts/getmealatte). When it runs, it opens this site with your size and milk in the link.
TRMNL
- The TRMNL recipe only shows a fixed code on your screen. It has no data source and sends nothing to us.
Where the data sits
- On ALL-INKL’s servers in Germany. We run the site from Switzerland; Switzerland and the EU recognise each other’s data protection as adequate. Nothing we run sends your data to any other country.
- We make no automated decisions about you and build no profiles. You never have to give us any personal data: the site works without a name, an address or an account.
Your rights
- You can ask us what personal data we hold about you (access), and have it corrected, deleted or restricted. You can object to our processing and ask for your data in a portable format. Write to hello@getmealatte.com and we’ll answer within a month. Because we store nothing that identifies you and the host deletes its logs after a short time, there is usually nothing we can link to you, but we will check.
- You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EU the data protection authority in your country.
